Shirley Serure is a wife, mother and professional photographer and artist living with her husband and two children on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. She specializes in candid, fun and unique portraiture including but not limited to family, newborn, maternity, engagement and pet photography. Shirley's photography work has been featured in numerous publications, blogs and websites. Her art has been showcased in exhibitions and sold both nationally and internationally to residential and corporate clients. While Shirley’s business is currently based out of New York, she travels to the West Coast and other locations often for assignments, conferences and other programs. In addition, to work and family life, she donates her time and talent, whenever she can, to help raise money for many different charities, organizations and causes. She currently serves as the President of the Sisterhood of Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun, the synagogue affiliated with Ramaz in Manhattan. Shirley received a BA from New York University with a major in Journalism, where she received Phi Beta Kappa and Kappa Tau Alpha honors. She also earned a law degree from Hofstra University School of Law. Shirley loves to combine her knowledge and varied experience from all walks of life including her own children to relate to and bring out her client's personalities and capture and document them on film. She aims to bring her unique artistic vision to every photograph, session and project.
